Summary :
The Final Battle
Norway, May, 1945
April 30, 1945. Hitler is dead, and Germany is nearly fully captured. Nevertheless, Norway and Denmark are still in German control, and German High Command has been considering transferring remaining forces to Norway as a last bastion of German resistance.
What if the German High Command had followed through?
In the air, it would be the Luftwaffe vs. the British 2nd Tactical Air Force, Bomber Command, Royal Navy, and Coastal Command in The Final Battle!
It will be the Hellcat II (F6F-5), Corsair IV (F4U-1D), Lancaster III, Mosquito VI, Mustang III (P-51B), Mustang IIV (P-51D), Spitfire XIV, Spitfire XVI, Tempest V, and Typhoon IB vs. Bf 109-K4, Bf 109G-14, FW 190D-9, Ta 152H, FW 190A-8, Me 262, Ju 88A-4, Ar 234, and optional use of FW 190F-8's. From Denmark and Norway, across the North Sea, to the coasts of Scotland and England -- there will be dogfights in the sky, antishipping attacks at sea, and strategic bombing on land.

Show-Up Time is 3 pm Eastern Time in the Special Events II Arena. The arena will be closed to admittance after that time. Here is a time converter to convert this to your local time. The frames run as follows.
- February 27: test frame -- please all attend
- March 13: frame 1

- March 27: frame 3
- April 3: frame 4

Work on the next version of Aces High that contains the WWI expansion is moving along with all the major components and art just about completed. There is still a good amount of detail work and debugging to finish but the end is in sight. October 19, 2009 These new planes will be available in a separate WWI dogfight arena and will also be available for special events. They will be the first planes to use a new damage system with greatly expanded capability. Release of the WWI planes is expected before the end of the year although it will not be in the next version release. Here are some screenshots of the Fokker Dr.I. Check back here for more screenshots of the other new planes in the coming weeks.

World War I Air News: The Sopwith Camel Here are some screenshots of the Sopwith Camel.     Work on the WWI expansion is progressing along and will be in the next version. We had hoped to have it completed by the end of this year but we're running a little bit long with development. We expect to have it out in the early part of the year. Zone System to ChangeLooks the zone system is to change according to HTC. The city has been modified now. Threads are located Zone System and City Design.
